Access roads may be required so that trucks can deliver materials and workers to the construction site. Vegetation is removed as needed and land development is done. Access roads remain after construction is complete so workers can access the site for maintenance.
The ground at the site is prepared for the substation foundation. This includes levelling the soil, laying down insulating gravel and digging drainage areas as per approved drawings by client.
Foundation and construction materials, including steel and gravel, are delivered to the work site. Construction equipment such as backhoes, semitrailers, moving equipment, concrete haulers and cranes may also be brought onsite. If required we will use a storage yard to store materials and equipment. All major equipment like Transformers, Circuit Breakers, CVT, PT, Wave Traps, Mounting Structures, Cables, Electrical Control and Relay Panels, PLCC etc. is delivered at site store.
Concrete foundations for the substation equipment are constructed as per approved drawings.
Pipe and Lattice structures are installed alongwith gantries. All major equipment like Transformers, Circuit Breakers, CVT, PT, Wave Traps, Mounting Structures, Cables, Electrical Control and Relay Panels, PLCC etc. is erected. Al tube pipes are welded and bended as per drawings and installed in switchyard.
During and after construction, we will perform cleanup and reclamation of the surrounding area. More insulating gravel is laid down over the site.
Quality and safety inspections are completed and the new transmission line is energized and connected to the Switchyard electrical system.
